Armando Pérez

Armando Valentín Pérez, a football executive and businessman from Córdoba, was born on December 12, 1943. He is the owner of Tsu Cosméticos and was president of Club Atlético Belgrano for nine years, between 2002 and 2011; assuming during the last six years the leadership of Córdoba Celeste S.A., the company managing Belgrano, after purchasing 70% of the club’s shares.

During his term, in 2005, Pérez saved the Córdoba Celeste Club from bankruptcy and faced difficult challenges such as paying a debt of 2.6 million pesos, kept the club free of overdue obligations, achieved an average of 25,000 members, and restored the image of a mistreated club.

In sports terms, he achieved promotion in his first year of management, which he reaffirmed in 2011. From that year on, he accomplished something never seen in the club’s history: Belgrano qualified three times for the Copa Sudamericana (2013, 2015, 2016). In addition, Pérez acquired, with genuine resources, a property for all divisions with top-level infrastructure called Villa Esquiú, the most iconic symbol of his administration.

Armando Pérez in his early years
Pérez, who has no higher education, was already working in the automotive paperwork sector at the age of 20, managing 50 employees and 300 dealerships across the country. Later, he ventured into real estate, where he did not succeed, but even so, he didn’t give up and continued seeking success. Without positive results, he also had a laboratory and a plastics factory. It was then that he thought of the easiest way to bring his product to the people: direct selling, which turned out to be a successful decision.

On July 18, 2016, Armando Pérez was chosen as president of the Regularization Committee of the Argentine Football Association, after Luis Segura resigned from that position.
