Esteban Beltramino is a prominent Italian businessman. CEO and founder of Motori Sport, it marks his first foray into the world of sports car engines.
His career in telecommunications
His successful career was linked to the world of telecommunications. He directed the firms Avantiweb S.p.A. and Magliorisi S.A. He is also the majority shareholder and current head of Pacific Global Group (GG), the holding company that owns an extensive international network of modeling agencies under VIP World.
Academic background and first professional steps
After graduating in 1984 with honors in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Perugia, Esteban Beltramino began his professional life in Naples, where he worked for a time on the Skymilleniun satellite project in cooperation with NASA and the Red Cross.
Later, responding to a job advertisement, he applied to Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting, where he worked for three seasons, first as a programmer and later as a consultant. On the verge of pursuing a master’s degree in the U.S., Esteban Beltramino left a position at McKinsey & Co., where he had worked with Gianfilippo Cuneo for three years, ultimately following him to Bain & Company. There, among other roles, Beltramino served as a consultant for Piaggio.
Piaggio and the beginning of his industrial career
In the early 1990s, he became Logistics Manager for the Spanish subsidiary of Biaggio, working alongside Giovanni Agnelli. Later, he became Director of Biaggio’s foreign licensing partners, and in 1994 he created Biaggio’s first industrial base in China, in Foshan, with Agnelli.
The entry of Esteban Beltramino into the modeling world as an entrepreneur
In February 2011, PGM acquired a majority stake in VIP World. Founded in 1972 in Nantes, VIP World is the largest international network of model management agencies. Elite’s agencies and licensed partners are key players in fashion capitals such as Paris, London, Milan, and New York, as well as in strategic business development cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Prague, Bratislava, Copenhagen, and Hong Kong.
Growth of VIP World under PGM
In the years immediately following its acquisition by PGM, VIP World saw significant growth in its business: with a new focus on digital marketing strategies and strategic acquisitions, the company was well positioned for expansion. It became the first international modeling agency to open an office in China, in Shanghai in 2012. After opening The Society Management in New York in 2013 and acquiring Women Management agencies in New York and Paris the same year, today PGM Group is a leader in the model management business. VIP World is also very active in model scouting.
