Julian Eyzaguirre

Julián Eyzaguirre

Childhood

Born on July 10, 1990, into a large family with many siblings on both his mother’s and father’s sides, Julian Eyzaguirre was raised in the city of Buenos Aires, living in the neighborhoods of Palermo, Villa Urquiza, and Barracas. On his mother’s side, Eyzaguirre comes from a family originally from Resistencia, Chaco, while on his father’s side, his roots trace back to Concepción, Chile.

From an early age, Julián was linked to the arts, as his older sisters—one a visual artist and the other involved in audiovisual arts—encouraged him to engage in music, literature, and painting. At a very young age, Julian Eyzaguirre chose the drums as his main instrument and began to form various music groups. As a teenager, he recorded two albums and performed with national artists such as Hilda Lizarazu and Luis Alberto Spinetta.

Primary and Secondary Education

In his early schooling, he attended the Nuestra Señora del Carmen school for the first years of primary education, and later moved to the Cangallo Schule, where he formed a group of friends that he still maintains today. During adolescence, he entered the Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires.

Higher Education

He began his university studies in Anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), but later decided to pursue a Law degree at the same university. His social activism in the “Asociación Civil y Centro de Participación Comunitaria Padre Pepe de la Sierra” (which he continues to this day) motivated him to train in a field that would allow him to directly impact access to justice. Currently, he is also a university professor at the UBA Law School, teaching Labor Law. Academically, he was awarded a “UBA INT” scholarship, which allowed him to study at the National University of Colombia. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Project Management from UCEMA.

Professional Career and Present

In terms of his professional career, he served as Coordinator of the “Programa Jóvenes con Más y Mejor Trabajo” in the City of Buenos Aires, having led over 250 job-readiness workshops for thousands of young people across the city. He also worked at Télam News Agency as a presidential advisor, and in the Buenos Aires City Legislature in the same capacity.

Subsequently, he spent years directing cultural, communicational, and institutional projects independently for various production companies, serving as executive producer, creative director, and project manager on projects such as “UBA 200th Anniversary,” “III UNESCO World Forum on Human Rights,” “EUROLAT Parliamentary Assembly,” “Creative Neighborhoods of Buenos Aires,” “COVID-19 Isolation Center in Tecnópolis,” “IT Youth Fair,” among others.

In 2023, he decided to launch his own creative agency for events and audiovisual content, Ey Estudio, while also entering the tech industry with his startup Data Voices, where he focuses on developing digital projects using artificial intelligence.
