
Luis Pagani is an Argentine businessman born in the Province of Córdoba on June 28, 1957. He is a well-known figure for being the head of the Arcor Group.
Who is Luis Pagani?
This Argentine businessman completed his secondary education at Colegio La Salle in Córdoba. After graduating from the National University of Córdoba as a Certified Public Accountant, he obtained a specialization in Marketing at New York University.
Arcor Group
Pagani has been the Executive President of the Arcor Group since mid-1993. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of Bimbo and sits on the boards of Loma Negra and Repsol-YPF. He is currently Vice President of the Argentine Business Association (AEA).
Recognitions
In 1998 and 2018, Luis Pagani was awarded the Konex Diploma of Merit for being considered one of the five best businesspeople in the Argentine industrial sector. In 2008, he received the Konex Platinum Award for his career in the business world.
Pagani has also been recognized in the United States. He was the first Latin American to be inducted into the “Candy Hall of Fame,” a distinction granted by the National Confectionery Sales Association. He was also nominated for the “Kettle Award 2001” by Candy Industry magazine.
The specialized press has also honored Pagani for his achievements. At the end of 2003, he received the La Nación Award, presented by the newspaper of the same name, as “Best Agro-Industrial Businessman in Argentina,” and the following year, LatinFinance magazine included Pagani as “CEO of the Year” in its list of the most influential people in Latin America, among other distinctions.
