Rosario Altgelt holds a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master’s degree in Economics from UCEMA. She has an 18-year career in companies of the LATAM Group, during which she held various positions in Argentina, the United States, and Chile, including Domestic Business Manager, Commercial Director of LAN Argentina, and General Manager of LATAM’s Regional Business.
Rosario played a key role in the integration process between LAN and TAM in Argentina and in defining a joint commercial strategy aimed at leveraging the synergies generated by the alliance. She became a key figure in the commercial development and expansion of the holding company.
In December 2015, she was appointed General Manager of LATAM Airlines Argentina, also taking on leadership of the Paraguay subsidiary.
In October 2017, the Argentine Business Development Institute (IDEA) named her President of the 54th Annual Colloquium, which was held on October 17, 18, and 19, 2018 in Mar del Plata.
In 2018, she was awarded by the WomenCorporateDirectors (WCD) Foundation as “The International Woman to Watch 2018” for her exemplary work at LATAM Argentina, where she played a central role in the unification of the two companies—LAN and TAM. WCD is an international organization aimed at empowering women in various countries. Business-focused, it currently brings together 3,500 executive women.
Rosario has always stood out for her ability in people management and for building high-performance teams with the goal of exceeding increasingly challenging commercial and operational objectives.
She is 42 years old, married, and has three children.
