
Jorge Triaca Jr. was born in Buenos Aires on March 30, 1974. He is the son of union leader and politician Jorge Alberto Triaca (1941–2008). He graduated from Universidad de San Andrés with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1996, and later earned a master’s degree in public policy from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, with a thesis on the market regulation process.

Triaca began his career as a consultant working on economic and labor projects such as BID ARG 826 / OC-AR “Public administration reform” (1996–1998), under the Ministry of Economy and Public Works and Services, and the UNDP Project 94/001 “Productive sector reform” (1998) for the National Ministry of Labor and Social Security. He was involved in development programs for the United Nations and the Inter-American Development Bank, focusing on labor, production, and disability issues.
He is an advocate for integration and equal employment opportunities. From 1998 to 2000, he coordinated the UNDP ARG 98/033 project “Support for the occupational program for people with disabilities,” created by the Employment and Training Department of the National Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
Between 2002 and 2003, Triaca joined the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers’ Office in the Undersecretariat of Coordination and Budgetary Evaluations, working in the coordination of credit with international organizations.
Jorge Triaca Thinking Foundation
Triaca led the Youth Project Area of the Odysseus Foundation between 2003 and 2004. He was also CEO of the Thinking Foundation from 2005 to 2009, dedicated to the analysis and formulation of public policies to develop long-term national plans.
