
Martin Guzman (born October 12, 1982) is an Argentine economist, currently serving as Minister of Economy in the administration of Alberto Fernández. He studied at Columbia Business School.

Martin Guzman is a research associate at the Economics Division, director of the Columbia University Initiative for the Debt Restructuring Program of the Policy Dialogue, and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Globalization and Development, specializing in the fields of public debt, international macroeconomics, and monetary economics.
Martin Guzman studied at the National University of La Plata, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics (April 2005) and a Master of Science in Economics (December 2007). In addition, he holds a PhD from Brown University (May 2013). His theoretical influences include Carlos Daniel Heymann and Joseph Stiglitz.
