
Silvia Gold was born in Buenos Aires on August 18, 1948. She is the daughter of Drs. Roberto and Miriam Gold, and she married Hugo Sigman, with whom she has three children. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry and began her career in 1972 in the family business, leading the Quality Control and New Product Development Department at Laboratorios Sintyal.
In 1976, Silvia Gold emigrated to Barcelona (Spain) with her family, where they founded Chemo Group, a company in the chemical-pharmaceutical sector. In 1986, they returned to Argentina, from where she continued to lead the company.
In 2000, Silvia Gold was appointed president of Mundo Sano.
In 2010, Silvia Gold and Hugo Sigman created Grupo INSUD, a group of companies dedicated to life sciences, nature, agribusiness, information, culture, and design.
