He earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University in 1984 and his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1992.

Huang co-founded NVIDIA when he turned 30, in 1993, and he currently serves as president and chief executive officer. As of 2016, his share of NVIDIA’s stock was worth $1.3 billion.

The Jen-Hsun Huang School of Engineering Center was built after Huang donated $30 million to his alma mater, Stanford University—making it the second of four buildings forming the new Stanford Science and Engineering Quad.

Jen-Hsun Huang also received the Pioneer Business Leader award from the Silicon Valley Education Foundation in 2007 for his corporate and philanthropic work.

Huang was named an Alumni Fellow by Oregon State University and received the Daniel J. Epstein Engineering Management Award from the University of Southern California.

The tattoo is a sleeve, which is an abstract version of the NVIDIA logo. Huang agreed to get the tattoo as part of a challenge with coworkers when the company’s stock price reached $100.
