
Rogelio Frigerio (born January 7, 1970, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine economist and politician. He is the son of Octavio Frigerio, an agronomist and politician, and Sisi Adam, an expert in psychophysical re-education and body language. He has three siblings: Carmen (deceased in 2015), Ana, and Ernesto. He has been married since 2007 and has two children.
In 2011, he was elected legislator of the City of Buenos Aires (PRO). Between 2013 and 2015, he served as president of the Bank of the City of Buenos Aires. In December 2015, he was appointed Minister of the Interior, Public Works and Housing by President Mauricio Macri and served until December 2019.
Rogelio Frigerio, his family background
His grandfather was Rogelio Julio Frigerio, an important journalist and politician, founding member of the Unión Cívica Radical Intransigente (UCRI) and of the Movimiento de Integración y Desarrollo (MID).
He also served as secretary of socioeconomic relations in the administration of Arturo Frondizi (1958–1962). He is considered one of the most important figures in the history of Argentine political thought: he was the main driving force behind the theory of developmentalism in the country. Like his grandfather, Rogelio Frigerio supports developmentalism and is one of the main figures of the Movimiento de Integración y Desarrollo.
