Daniel Lipovetzky

Argentine politician Daniel Lipovetzky was born in La Plata on December 2, 1967. He attended the prestigious Colegio Nacional Rafael Hernández at the National University of La Plata, graduating in 1985. In 1991, he earned degrees as a legal procurator and lawyer from the same university. Additionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Latin American Integration from UCES and a specialization in International Relations from FLACSO.

He is the son of Sara Amores and Jaime César Lipovetzky, a respected jurist known for defending workers’ rights in the 1970s. Daniel Lipovetzky is also the father of three children.

Daniel Lipovetzky’s political and professional trajectory

Firm in his belief that politics is the best tool for driving change, Lipovetzky is currently a National Deputy for the Province of Buenos Aires, with his term ending in 2019. Over the years, he has held numerous public roles, including:

1994 – 2001: Advisor to Senator Dr. Antonio Cafiero. During this period, he also served as secretary of the Argentine chapter of the Argentine-Chilean Joint Parliamentary Commission.
1998 – 2000: Advisor to the Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, in charge of directing international trade negotiations.
2001: Advisor to the Undersecretary with provincial director rank.
2002 – 2003: Advisor to the Undersecretary of Industry within the Ministry of Production.
2003 – 2007: Chief advisor to then-deputy Gabriela Michetti.
2007 – 2009: Chief of Staff during Gabriela Michetti’s tenure as Deputy Mayor of Buenos Aires.
2009: Undersecretary for Inclusion and Coordination in the General Secretariat.
2009 – 2011: Secretary for Inclusion and Human Rights under the Chief of Cabinet.
2011 – 2015: Legislator for the City of Buenos Aires.
2014 – 2016: Second Vice President of the Public Bar Association of the Federal Capital.

In addition, he has been a board member of the Argentine Society for Labor Law and the Buenos Aires Lawyers Association.
