Jenny B Campbell (born October 1961) is a British entrepreneur known for founding YourCash Europe Ltd and for receiving numerous awards in recognition of her contributions to the business and financial sectors.
From Bank Clerk to Fintech Leader
Campbell established YourCash, an independent ATM operator with a footprint in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland. Before acquiring the business through a management buyout in 2010, she had spent 32 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, holding roles in sales, operations, transformation, risk, and senior management. She successfully sold YourCash in 2016.
Raised in a business-focused family of bankers, builders, and printers, Campbell left school at the age of 16 and joined NatWest as a cash counter and teller. She pursued banking qualifications through night school and, upon passing her exams, transitioned to a head office position in London. Following RBS’s takeover of NatWest in 2000, she played a pivotal role in the operational integration of both institutions—an effort widely recognized as one of the most complex mergers in the history of financial services.
In 2006, Campbell was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Hanco ATM Systems, an RBS subsidiary that would later become YourCash. At the time, Hanco had rapidly expanded but was posting an annual loss of £7 million. Drawing on her previous experience, Campbell focused on reshaping the company both operationally and culturally, with the goal of returning it to profitability—a challenge she embraced with conviction.
The 2007 financial crisis led RBS to reconsider its non-core assets, prompting plans to divest Hanco. Seeing the opportunity, Campbell prepared to buy the business. Although the sale was delayed, she ultimately led a successful management buyout in mid-2010 and rebranded the company as YourCash shortly thereafter.
Under her leadership, YourCash evolved into a profitable, scalable enterprise across multiple European markets. Campbell’s success story remains a leading example of entrepreneurial resilience and strategic transformation in the financial technology sector.
